Martian skin – yes, the title is intriguing. That’s why we were all glad when it became a finalist for our contest. So Simon and I got together to make this simple, fun, and easy to make dessert. Simon has a young nephew and we both agreed that this is one recipe he’d really enjoy. The ingredients are simple:
- 1 box of 3 once Jello
- ¾ c water
The recipe was submitted by Brighton Grow. Here’s what he had to say about his fun dessert:
The possibilities are staggering. I hope that this little recipe will improve the lives of Martian chefs and diners for generations to come!
Our video will show you just how quick and easy this is to make. It will also show you how much fun the crew had playing with and eating the martian skin.
- To get started, butter a cookie sheet and set it aside for later.
- Whisk gelatin powder with water in a large skillet pan over high heat. Continue mixing with a rubber spatula and stirring until the mixture forms a gloop when dropped off the end of the rubber spatula into a cup of cold water. About 7 minutes.
- Pour hot mixture onto well-greased cookie sheet. Allow to cool completely, about one hour.
- You can use any size and flavor Jello and vary the amount of water depending on how much you want to make.
Simon and I had a great time making this for the crew and they had a lot of fun playing with it. Just look at Oleg’s expression!
